Please read the following policy carefully to understand what information we gather and how we will use that information.  Because Inkwell The App, LLC, (“Inkwell”) will continue to develop new technologies, this policy is subject to change.  We encourage you to check the Privacy Policy each time you visit Inkwell’s website (the “Site”) or use Inkwell’s App (the “App”) so that you understand our current privacy policy.  By using the App or the Site, you agree to the terms of the Privacy Policy in effect at that time.  

What information does Inkwell collect or require users to submit?

Inkwell does not automatically collect personally identifiable information.  Users of the Site or App are required to submit personally identifiable information (i.e., information that could be used to identify you individually) in connection with their use of the Site or the App including creating an account, submitting requests for services, allowing push notifications, and using the messaging services provided through the Site or App.  That information can reasonably be linked to a particular user or device.

Specific information submitted by customer users includes first and last name, e-mail address, password, geographic location information, and requests for work.  Specific information submitted by service provider users includes first and last name, business name, business location, services offered, examples of work, e-mail address, password, credit card information, and payment processing information.

Inkwell collects general information from visitors to the Site or users of the App through Google Analytics and other sources which provide information about other sites you may visit and other information your device may provide based on your personal settings.

How is your information stored?

Information submitted to and collected by Inkwell will be stored through a third-party hosting and server service.  Your information may be stored on devices or networks located outside the state in which you reside and located outside the United States.  Services utilized by Inkwell include web hosting, database hosting, web services, geocoding, and payment processing.

When a user creates an account, the user creates a password for access to that account.  Inkwell does not share passwords or access to accounts.  Inkwell does provide users the ability to reset their passwords.  

What are cookies and how does Inkwell use them?

A "cookie" is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive.  Inkwell and its third-party service providers use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your device and your online activity and to store such information.  In most instances, you can refuse cookies and other tracking technologies by turning them off in your device's browser.

What about Do Not Track signals the Site receives?

The Site does not recognize or respond to Do Not Track signals at this time.

How does Inkwell use information it collects or you provide?

The information submitted to or collected by Inkwell will only be used for the purposes described on the Site, the App, or this Privacy Policy, except when otherwise authorized by the user or when necessary in our sole discretion to satisfy any law, regulation, governmental or judicial request, or to protect Inkwell or its employees, attorneys, officers, directors, clients or business partners.  Otherwise, the information submitted will not be provided to any third parties except as contemplated on the Site, the App, or in this Privacy Policy.

Inkwell may retain copies of all information submitted to Inkwell in either electronic or paper form, at its sole discretion.  Inkwell may also use and provide aggregated statistics about our visitors, traffic patterns, related website information, and usage of our products and services including, but not limited to, geographic areas where our products and services are used to reputable third-party vendors and marketing companies, but these statistics and information will include no personally identifying information.

Users who create an account with Inkwell expressly authorize Inkwell to share information they submit with other users.

Inkwell will use information submitted by users and collected by Inkwell for purposes of processing requests by users, providing support to users, improving and personalizing the App, the Site, and user accounts, maintaining security of the Site, processing payments by users, and fulfilling the reason the user provided the information.

If Inkwell is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing due diligence, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of assets, or transition of service to another provider, your information may be sold or transferred as part of such a transaction as permitted by law and/or contract.

A word of caution about security

Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.  As a result, while we attempt to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.  Once we receive your transmission, we use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure its security.  However, Inkwell cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to your information.

What about children's privacy?

The Site and the App is not intended for users under the age of 18 and we do not intend to collect information from any person under 18 years of age on the Site or the App.  Parents should not allow children to provide any such information.  If we determine that a child has provided information in violation of this policy, we will delete that information as soon as practicable.  If any parent or guardian becomes aware that any child has provided information, please send us an e-mail at inkwelltheapp@gmail.com so we can delete that information.
